1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing and using the Whybird iOS application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the application.
2. Target Audience and Parental Responsibility
Whybird is an educational utility designed **for parents and guardians** to read aloud and discuss with children aged 3 to 10. The app is not intended to be handed to children for unattended use. The parent is the active operator of the screen, and we encourage closing the phone immediately after the five-minute bedtime ritual is complete.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Some content inside Whybird requires an active paid subscription (Monthly or Annual).
- Billing: Subscriptions are processed and billed natively by Apple via your Apple Account.
- Free Trials: If a free trial is offered, you will be billed for the selected term once the trial period ends, unless canceled at least 24 hours prior.
- Cancellations and Refunds: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iOS device's Settings (App Store Subscriptions). Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple customer support.
4. Content Ownership
All story text, questions, illustrations, card templates, and character marks (including Whybird herself) are copyright of the Whybird team. We write every card by hand. You are welcome to share your child's answers and cards with friends or social media using the app's built-in share sheet. Commercial replication of cards or story arcs is strictly prohibited.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Whybird is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The scientific explanations provided inside the app are designed to be accessible analogies for children and do not represent formal scientific or academic research.
